Amorphous alloys are the third generation of revolutionary materials following metals and plastics, showing ultra-high strength and excellent corrosion resistance compared to traditional crystalline alloy materials. Amorphous alloy coatings based on amorphous alloys have excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature resistance, showing great application prospects in the fields of oil, chemical, thermal power, hydropower, nuclear power, automotive, marine engineering, etc., in terms of corrosion and wear resistance. Our research team has developed an amorphous alloy coating composition without rare earth elements, Fe57Cr15Mo4P10B3C7W4, through component design, which has excellent corrosion resistance, with self-corrosion current density and passivation current density in 3.5wt% NaCl solution as low as 2.0×10e-6 and 2.6×10e-4 A/cm2 respectively; it also shows excellent wear resistance, with a friction coefficient of 0.40-0.49 and a wear rate as low as 3-11×10e-5 mm3 N-1m-1, far surpassing 316 stainless steel. The application of this amorphous alloy coating can greatly improve the equipment protection technology and level in the autonomous region's oil, power, and chemical industries, with important application prospects. |
